Sunrise 20090503

Great reason to be an early riser... catch a dappled sky during what will likely be its most colorful offering all day.

Nothing speaks as powerfully to life's opportunity as a sunrise, and I am drawn to witness and record them.

I love the clouds in this picture! Pretty :)

@Butterfly Dreamer: Thanks for your visit & comment, Emily!.. I really appreciate both! Yes, those were some interesting clouds this morning... a little unusual, actually. So glad you enjoyed my shot!

onald from kl, Malaysia

how i wish to shoot sunrise like yours... just lovely...
but first have to train myself to wake up early... =]

@onald: Thanks, onald! The key to waking up early is... getting to sleep early... not easy to do if you're a night owl... but always worth the effort!

Aaah, again clouds to make this one extra special!!!! Don't you ever want to just stay at home on a Sunday morning, and relax????

3 May 2009 8:32pm

@Susan: Yeah, the weather and related clouds are hanging around nicely, and I sure appreciate it!
"Don't you ever... and relax?" Honestly, it never crosses my mind. No matter when I hit the hay, I'm thinking about getting up and out the door and getting to my shooting location to see what the view is to the east... see if the sky is talking. I really am addicted to this... in a good way, I believe. But you're not alone in asking - I hear that question often... even from my family.
So... Sunfest?

Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand

Ahhh what a beauty!! A very relaxing, pastel, morning:-)

@Linerberry: Hi, Liners! Thanks for stopping by. Yes, it was a very peaceful morning of quiet pastels. If you can't have a flamer (like your incredible post today/yesterday (I quit!), then the pastels will do just fine. Appreciate your V&C!
