@Allan Clark: Thanks for your visit & comment, Allan! I had to tweak the original shot a little to get the color right... far too much red out of the camera. No surprise there, thought: the red phase of a sunrise (or sunset) is the most challenging.

@DarkElf: You know, for a few days twice a year, that building gets in the way of line-of-sight sunlight at sunrise. I often have to move my shooting venue, but to day I decided I'd let the building block those direct rays, and it turned out to sort of act like a polarizing filter, allowing the colors and cloud structures to be seen more easily. Good to hear from you, DE... thanks very much for your visit & nice comment!

@Susan: Thanks, Susan. It had been a while since we had one as striking, for sure. And it was evident from the moment I pulled up that the sky had real promise... plenty of clouds and a nice gap at the horizon. Waiting it out was fun... watching it evolve. Maybe I'll luck out and get another beauty tomorrow. Odds aren't good, but hope springs eternal for sunrise photogs like me. Thanks, again!
